Tim Chi Ly

Tim Chi Ly has a diverse work experience in the animation industry. Tim started their career as a Design Supervisor at Cartoon Network/Stretchfilms in 1998 and worked there until 2003. From 2003 to 2005, they served as an Animation Background Supervisor at Discovery Channel/NBC. In 2005, they were an Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Tim then joined Curious Pictures as a Lead Background Designer from 2006 to 2007. Tim worked as a Background Supervisor at World Leaders Entertainment (Noodlesoup Productions) from 2007 to 2010. From 2011 to 2013, they were the Art Director and Lead Designer at Electrotank, Inc/Online. Tim then worked as an Interactive Concept Artist at Amplify from 2012 to 2015. Tim joined Curriculum Associates as a Designer and Storyboard Freelancer in 2016 and worked there until 2020. Tim also worked in the same role at Sesame Workshop from 2016 to the present. Tim is currently working as a Designer and Lead Background Artist at Cartuna starting from 2020.

Tim Chi Ly completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1997.
