Alex Jalba

Alex Jalba has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They have held various roles in the e-commerce industry, starting as a Computer Sales & Service Representative at Nico Pure in 2004. They then worked as an Assistant Manager at Cridomed from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a Project Manager at Global Business Development.

In 2010, they joined Ecoplast Industries Group as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for tender management, client relationship management, project supervision, and market research.

In 2014, Alex became an E-commerce Manager at GiftsBoutique.ro, overseeing all aspects of the business. They then joined eMAG in 2015 as an E-commerce Project Manager, focusing on international development and leading various projects.

From 2018 to 2018, they served as an E-commerce Manager at Sport Vision, a sports retail chain in the Balkans region. They were responsible for managing e-commerce operations and concepts in Romania.

In 2018, they joined Carrefour Romania as an E-commerce Product Owner, where they remained until 2021. They then joined Explorado Romania as a Product Manager for their in-house-built e-commerce platform.

Currently, Alex Jalba holds the position of Head of E-commerce at Cărturești, starting from August 2023.

Alex Jalba has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Economics-Business Administration from Academia de Studii Economice din București, which they completed from 2007 to 2009. Alex also obtained a Project Manager Diploma in Project Management from Experts' Association in Accessing European Structural and Cohesion Funds in 2013. In addition, Alex Jalba has a Bachelor's degree in Food Industry and Agriculture Economy from Academia de Studii Economice din București, accomplished from 2003 to 2007. Alex completed their secondary education at Colegiul National Spiru Haret from 1999 to 2003, with a focus on Informatics.
