John Wakeling

John Wakeling is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and test automation. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at carwow since November 2019, John oversees the Sell My Car domain, managing four product teams and supporting 21 engineers and Engineering Managers across Europe. Previous roles include Software Development Manager and Front-End Tech Lead at Marks and Spencer, where John focused on technical quality and team leadership. Earlier positions include Senior Developer In Test at Funding Circle, Lead Developer In Test at The Collinson Group, and various testing and development roles at ITV and Vodafone. John holds foundational education from The Fitzwimarc School and DB Training.
