Axel Klauck-Jacobs

Axel Klauck-Jacobs has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and development. Axel started their career in 1994 as a Postdoc at Clemson University, where they focused on synthesizing salts for use in lithium batteries and fuel cells. Axel then moved on to work as a Chemist at AZ Electronic Materials, where they played a key role in developing and scaling up environmentally safe monomer and polymer synthesis for photoresists. Axel also discovered cost-effective purification methods for lithographic resins. Following this, Axel worked as a Chemist at Dow Chemical Company, where they researched and evaluated materials for micro-lithography. Axel then joined Air Products & Chemicals as a Principal Development Chemist, leading research and development for liquid crystalline compounds and fine chemicals. Axel utilized the "Stage Gate Process" for project management and ensured safe chemical operations through the safety review process. Before joining IM&T, Axel worked at Chemical Abstract Services, first as an Assistant Scientific Information Analyst and later as an Associate Scientific Information Analyst.
