Deborah Stutman-Brickey

Deborah Stutman-Brickey began their career as a Research Engineer at Owens Corning Fiberglas from June 1984 to October 1986. Deborah then worked as a Process Development Engineer at Mead Paper from February 1987 to February 1989. In October 1996, Deborah joined METSS Corporation as a Research Engineer, where they wrote and edited contract proposals and conducted laboratory and engineering research until December 2000. Concurrently, from March 1996 to December 2001, they served as a (Part-Time) Instructor at Columbus State Community College, teaching interdisciplinary Natural Science courses to non-science majors and working in the tutoring center. Deborah then joined Chemical Abstracts Service in January 2002 as an Associate Scientific Information Analyst. Deborah'sresponsibilities included analyzing and interpreting technical articles and patents, identifying and translating chemical compounds and processes, conducting compound synthesis research, and searching CAS databases. Most recently, Deborah has retired in January 2022.

Deborah Stutman-Brickey completed their education in a chronological order. Deborah first attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1973 to 1977, where they received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Astronomy at Penn State University from 1977 to 1979. Finally, they went on to earn a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University between 1979 and 1984.
