Senior Solutions Marketing Manager at CAS

Jennifer Smither has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jennifer started their career as an intern at Rowland Publishing, where they worked as a feature article writer for Tallahassee Magazine and Emerald Coast Magazine. Following their internship, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at the American Gaming Association.

Jennifer then joined BAE Systems (formerly DFI International) as a Senior Consultant, where they managed the outreach and partnerships team for Lessons Learned Information Sharing (LLIS.gov) under the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Their next role was with Leidos (formerly Science Applications International Corporation, SAIC), where they held two positions. Jennifer first served as the Operations Analyst and Task Lead for the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Law Enforcement Standards Office, where they led the development of forensic science best practices reports and facilitated working groups. Jennifer also worked as the Outreach and Operations Manager supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Lessons Learned Information Sharing program.

Later, Jennifer joined OCLC as a Senior Content Marketing Specialist and later transitioned to the role of Senior Product Marketing Analyst. In these positions, they built comprehensive marketing plans, researched customer and market trends, and coordinated activities within the organization.

Jennifer also has experience as a self-employed Professional Writer, contributing articles to various publications such as Homeland Defense Journal, Continuity Insights, and Domestic Preparedness Journal. Additionally, they have written short fiction stories and a poem for literary magazines.

Their most recent role is with CAS, where they serve as a Senior Solutions Marketing Manager. In this position, Jennifer is responsible for the external positioning of CAS products, services, and use cases, with a focus on life sciences. Jennifer collaborates with sales, product management, and customer support to craft the positioning and supporting content for CAS life sciences solutions.

Jennifer Smither attended Florida State University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with concentrations in Creative Writing and Women's Studies.
