Karl Meyer has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Karl started their career as an Architect at Shared Medical Systems and Shared Medical Svc in 1985, where they stayed until 2000. Karl then worked as a Consultant at Capital and Coast DHB in 1998-1999. In 2003, they joined GE as the Chief Enterprise Architect for Energy Services, a role they held until 2012. During this time, they led the creation of enterprise architecture and development methodologies for GE Energy, improving efficiency and standardization. From 2012 to 2017, Karl served as the Chief Enterprise Architect at Energy Connections, where they established a technical community and collaborated with the C-Team to drive initiatives. Karl then became a Senior Advisor at Arcis Capital Partners, a venture capital fund, from 2016 to 2018, focusing on identifying and nurturing disruptive technologies. In 2017, Karl founded Mozart Ventures, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in enterprise architecture and technology strategy. Finally, in 2018, they co-founded Open Range Capital Partners, an early-stage investment company, where they are actively involved in operations and fundraising. Currently, Karl Meyer holds the position of Chief Enterprise Architect at CAS, a leading provider of information services to the chemical industry.
Karl Meyer attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1982 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
