Marty Bartels

Marty Bartels has a diverse and extensive work experience. Marty started their career at IBM as a Staff Software Engineer in 1980 and worked there for 17 years. Marty then joined Storage Technology Corporation as a Staff Software Engineer from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they worked at Colorado Mountain College as a Datatel Programmer/Analyst for two years.

In 2004, Marty Bartels joined Ohio Dominican University, where they held various roles. Marty started as a Datatel Systems Analyst and later became the Director of Administrative Computing. From 2008 to 2012, they served as the Datatel Programmer/Analyst Team Lead and led a team of four programmers. Marty'sresponsibilities included supporting the Colleague software and managing automation tasks within Colleague.

In 2012, Marty Bartels moved on to the Columbus Regional Airport Authority as the Enterprise Software Manager. In this role, they managed software engineers and oversaw the implementation of various software packages, such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SharePoint, ArcGIS, and others. Marty also worked on process improvements, incorporating software and non-software solutions.

Most recently, Marty Bartels worked as a Software Contractor at CAS, starting in 2013. Marty'sresponsibilities included ad hoc reporting, development of load test datastores, and working with Perl, SQL, and other programming languages.

Throughout their career, Marty Bartels has gained expertise in software development, project management, and team leadership.

Marty Bartels pursued higher education in a chronological manner. Marty started their education journey by attending the University of Mount Union from 1976 to 1980. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Computer Science and Psychology. Later, in 2009 to 2010, Marty attended Ohio Dominican University, where they completed a Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree with a focus on Business and Management.
