Sarah Hamilton

Product Owner at CAS

Sarah Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and responsibilities. Sarah began their career at The Ohio State University as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant where they taught and evaluated student abilities in software such as MATLAB, Solidworks, and Microsoft Excel. Sarah also worked with students on the Fundamentals of Engineering coursework.

Sarah then transitioned to CAS, where they worked in various roles. As a Quality Assurance Co-op, Sarah collaborated with engineers and project managers to design and implement acceptance tests. Sarah developed automation tests using Rubymine, Oracle, and SoapUI, and evaluated web-based products prior to release using manual and automated test scripts.

Sarah then moved on to work as an Applications Programmer at CAS, where they created and executed user acceptance tests for new features and evaluated the readiness of software for release.

After that, they worked as a Scientific Content Engineer, where they helped develop an infrastructure for testing search algorithms of different data domains. Sarah also tracked trends in answer sets and tested changes to search algorithms to ensure desired retrieval and relevancy for users.

Most recently, Sarah served as a Search Engineer at CAS. Sarah provided insights on trends observed in answer sets and tested changes to search algorithms for chemical structure searching. Sarah also maintained a database infrastructure for their team to test search algorithms of various data domains.

Throughout their career, Sarah has demonstrated skills in product strategy, requirements gathering, testing, and data analysis.

Sarah Hamilton attended The Ohio State University from 2012 to 2016, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
