Neil Strand is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in storage engineering and systems analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Storage Engineer at CAS Severn, Inc. since January 2012, Neil contributes to providing IT solutions to various government and private entities. Prior experience includes leading the storage engineering team at Legg Mason from November 2005 to January 2012, where cost-effective storage and backup solutions were delivered globally. Neil also held the position of Systems Analyst at Northrop Grumman from September 2001 to November 2005, leading a newly formed storage management group, and served as a Unix and Storage Administrator at American Girl from January 1996 to January 2001. Neil's career began in the US Navy as a Naval Flight Officer from January 1984 to January 1996. Neil holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Minnesota.
