Illeana Gomez

Illeana Gomez is the VP, Senior & Community Services at Casa Central. Illeana has over 20 years of experience working in the social work field. Illeana started their career as a Pediatric Social Worker at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. In this role, they provided clinical social work services to patients and their families on assigned medical services, facilitated various support groups, and provided supervision to new social workers and M.S.W. students.

In 2001, Illeana started working as a Heartlight/Luz del corazon Parent Support Group Facilitator. In this role, they served as a Spanish-speaking parent support group facilitator and provided additional psychosocial education, crisis intervention, and support when needed. Illeana remained in this role for 17 years until they transitioned to their current role as VP, Senior & Community Services at Casa Central.

Illeana Gomez has a Doctor of Philosophy from 2013 in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Illeana also has a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work, both in Mental Health Concentration, from the University of Illinois Chicago.
