Advocate Supervisor at CASA for Children of Essex County

Leslie Sena currently serves as an Advocate Supervisor at CASA for Children of Essex County since August 2024. Previously, Leslie held various roles at CASA DC, including Program Coordinator for the LGBTQ+ & BRIDGES programs, and completed multiple internships within the BRIDGES Program. Leslie also worked as an Orientation Peer Advisor at the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland and interned in the Missing Child Division at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Leslie is a graduate of the University of Maryland, having completed studies from August 2020 to May 2024, and attended Watchung Regional High School from September 2016 to June 2020.

CASA for Children of Essex County

CASA for Children of Essex County is an independent court-authorized non-profit organization which works through professionally trained community volunteers to promote the welfare of children in Essex County, NJ who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. CASA serves a a foster child's voice in court working to insure that needed services and assistance are made available while helping to move the child to a safe and permanent home. CASA empowers everyday citizens as court appointed officers of the Court. Their involvement in the life of a child in foster care makes a direct impact now and perhaps for generations to come.
