Fania Antunes has extensive experience in advocacy and social work, currently serving as a Victim Advocate at the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers since 2012, where responsibilities include case management, counseling, interpretation, and referrals. Additionally, Fania has held the position of Client Advocate at Casa Myrna since 2011. Fania Antunes earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from PUC Minas between 2002 and 2006 and has furthered education at Harvard University.

Casa Myrna is Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence, providing safety, resources, advocacy and information since 1977. We operate SafeLink, the statewide domestic violence hotline, and promote domestic and dating violence prevention through awareness and education. All of our supports are provided to survivors free of charge. We support ALL survivors regardless of race, ethnicity, language, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
