Olexandr Baturin

Olexandr Baturin has worked at CASAFARI from 2018 to the present. Olexandr'sroles at CASAFARI include Data Scientist, Data Collection Team Leader, and Data Scientist Intern.

Prior to working at CASAFARI, Olexandr worked at Trading Economics from 2016 to 2018 as a Programmer Analyst. In this role, they created an Excel Add In using C# language, a Python package, an R package hosted on GitHub, and transferred old API documentation to a new format.

In 2008, they started their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Universidade do Minho and completed it in 2012.

From 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master's degree in Statistics at Universidade do Minho.

During the same period, from 2015 to 2016, they also took courses at babeliUm - the language center of the University of Minho, to further develop their English language skills.

In 2016, they completed a self-proposed course in Database Technology at Universidade do Minho.

In terms of additional certifications, Olexandr obtained various certifications in different technology areas. For example, in 2016, they completed the "Development, management, and documentation of R packages" certification offered by The Portuguese Association for Classification and Data Analysis (CLAD). In 2017, they acquired the "M001: MongoDB Basics" certification from MongoDB.

More recently, in 2022 and 2023, Olexandr obtained a series of certifications related to cloud computing and software development. These include certifications like "Feature Engineering" and "Launching into Machine Learning" offered by Google Cloud Skills Boost, as well as certifications in Django development from LinkedIn.

Additionally, Olexandr acquired several certifications in data science and Python through online learning platforms like DataCamp and Coursera. These certifications cover topics such as data visualization with ggplot2, intermediate Python for data science, and introduction to Python for data science.
