Matthew Purcell

Matthew Purcell is a skilled engineering professional with experience in process simulation and product design. Currently serving as a Process Simulation Engineering Assistant at Cascade Die Casting Group, Inc. since July 2021, Matthew focuses on modeling gating, runner, and overflow systems for casting simulations, along with creating cooling diagrams and mold prints. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as an Application Specialist at Specified Air Solutions, assisting sales representatives with HVAC product support and maintaining organized databases. Previous positions include a Stocker at Amazon and a Designer at HRSflow, where Matthew designed hot runner systems using Solidworks for injection molds. Matthew's foundational experience includes a role as a Greenhouse Hand at Grand Flower Growers. Academically, Matthew is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Product Design at Ferris State University, building on an Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting and CAD from Grand Rapids Community College.
