Al Hayes

Al Hayes is an experienced Senior Tooling Engineer at Cascade Engineering since September 2017, with a robust background in automotive design and mold-making. Prior to this role, Al served as a Sr. Designer at Lacks Trim Systems from February 2012 to September 2017, specializing in CAD design for automotive trim and interior/exterior components. Al's career began as the Owner/Designer of North Coast Cad Design from August 2005 to January 2012, providing self-employed contracting services, and included a position as a designer at Rapid Die & Engineering from March 1993 to August 2005, focusing on mold and product design. Al holds a journeyman Mold Maker Certificate in Metallurgical Technology from Grand Rapids Community College and has completed coursework at Lansing Community College, as well as a college preparatory high school education at Lakewood High School.
