Kathie Flood is the current Managing Director & CEO at Cascade Game Foundry. Kathie has held this position since 2009. Prior to their current role, they were a Senior Program Manager Lead at Microsoft Games Studios from 1990-2009. In this role, they led the internal team that created Train Simulator 2 on the Flight Simulator engine. Kathie also led the teams that created Project Gotham Racing 4, Project Gotham Racing 3, NFL Fever 2003, NFL Fever 2002, and Soccer 1.0, as well as numerous prototypes for other unannounced games. Before their time at Microsoft, Kathie Flood worked as a Technical Writer for Microware Corporation from 1988-1990. Kathie wrote technical documentation for OS-9, OS-9000, and CD-RTOS. Prior to their work in the tech industry, Kathie Flood worked as a Novelties Manager, Usher, & Go-fer for the Iowa Cubs from 1985-1989.

Kathie Flood has a BA in Math/Computer Science from Central College and an MA in Journalism & Mass Communications from Drake University.
