Michael Babbitt

Michael Babbitt has a diverse and extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Michael has held various leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer and Managing Principal Broker at Cascade Sotheby's International Realty since 2016. During their time there, the company achieved a record-breaking sales volume of $2.6 billion in 2020 and expanded its market share in Bend, Oregon.

Prior to joining Cascade Sotheby's International Realty, Babbitt served as Regional Vice President and Managing Principal Broker at the same company from 2016 to 2021. In this role, they contributed to the company's growth and success by providing exceptional services to buyers and sellers throughout the Oregon and SW Washington regions.

Babbitt's involvement in the real estate industry extends beyond their roles at Cascade Sotheby's International Realty. Michael has also served on the Professional Standards & Grievance Committee, the Brokerage Risk Management Committee, and as Vice President of Professional Development on the PMAR Board of Directors at the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors®. Additionally, they were a Board Member for the Oregon Association of Realtors® from 2017 to 2021.

Before entering the real estate industry, Babbitt gained experience as the Planning Commission Chair for the City of West Linn where they were responsible for land use planning and compliance.

Babbitt's previous roles include Managing Principal Broker/Owner at Taylor Group Realty, where they supervised and provided training to agents, and Vice-Chair of the Oregon Young Professionals Network.

Michael Babbitt has a background in Computer Science from Portland State University. Michael holds additional certifications such as MCNE (Master Certified Negotiation Expert) from Negotiation Expertise and Real Estate Negotiation Institute, Real Estate Broker/Designated Broker from Washington State Department of Licensing, Principal Broker License from the State of Oregon, and Certified REO Property Specialist and Certified Short Sale Specialist from the National Association of REALTORS®.
