Hugues Simon

Hugues Simon is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the forest products industry. Currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at Cascades since June 2024, Hugues previously held the position of President of the Wood Products Division at Resolute Forest Products from March 2021 to June 2024. Hugues's career includes leadership roles such as President at BarretteWood Inc. and Vice President of Sales & Procurement at Les Entreprises Barrette Ltd, both from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, Hugues was Vice President of Sales & Marketing and value-added operations at Resolute Forest Products from 2005 to 2012. Hugues Simon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Accounting from Université de Sherbrooke, obtained between 1990 and 1993.
