Charlie Gayer

Charlie Gayer has over 25 years of commercial leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Charlie currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to joining BioCryst, Charlie served as Vice President US Marketing at Aerocrine from November 2013 to December 2014. Charlie then held the position of Senior Director, International Marketing at Grifols from January 2015 to August 2015.

From October 2011 to November 2013, Charlie served as Senior Director, Immunology Marketing at Grifols. Prior to that, they were Head of Sales and Marketing for Rest of Europe at Talecris Biotherapeutics from January 2010 to October 2011.Charlie also served as Senior Director/Director, Pulmonary, US Commercial Operations at Talecris Biotherapeutics from January 2007 to December 2009.

Earlier in their career, Charlie worked as a Senior Business Analyst at Genzyme from October 1996 to April 1999 and as an Associate at Covance/Health Technology Associates from December 1993 to October 1996.

Charlie Gayer first earned their BA in Politics from Princeton University. Charlie then went on to earn their MBA in Business Administration from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business.

Charlie Gayer reports to Jon P. Stonehouse, President & CEO. They are on a team with Yarlagadda S. Babu - Senior Vice President, Drug Discovery, William P. Sheridan - Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and Megan Sniecinski - Senior Vice President, Chief Business Officer.
