Waqas Ahmed Waqar

Waqas Ahmed Waqar is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Controller for Western Canada at Cascades since April 2021, having previously held roles as Plant Controller, Senior Financial Analyst, and Accountant within the company. Prior to Cascades, Waqas worked at Robert Half as an Accountant where significant contributions included reconciling bank accounts for REEF-Imperial Parking and managing grant-funded medical research. Additional experiences include consultancy roles, Finance Officer at Khafji Joint Operation Hospital, and Accounting Manager at Evolution Engineering Services. Waqas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Karachi University and is pursuing an MBA at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, along with being an ACCA graduate.
