Derald Walker, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare industry. Derald started their career as the Director of Crisis and Adult Services at Columbia River Community Mental Health Center in 1977, and later became the Associate Director. In 1983, they became the Executive Director at Mt. Hood Community Mental Health Center Inc. Derald then joined the State of Oregon in 1989 as the Director of the Office of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Oregon CASSP. In 1992, they became the Director of Washington State at United Behavioral Health. In 1994, they joined Greenspring/Magellan Behavioral Healthcare as the Director of Public Sector, Sales and Marketing, Western Division. In 1996, they became the Director of the Oregon Health Plan at Magellan Behavioral Health. Derald then served as the CEO of Value Behavioral Healthcare of Pennsylvania from 2000 to 2004, and ValueOptions of Texas from 2004 to 2006. Currently, they are the President/CEO of Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., a position they have held since 2008. In addition to their main roles, they have also served on the Board of Directors of Oregon Symphony since 2013.
