Laura Laforte

Laura LaForte, LICSW, GMHS has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Laura has served as the Director of Patient Experience at Cascadia Healthcare since 2019, where they focus on understanding and meeting the needs of patients and families. Laura also works as a Senior Consultant at the same company. From 2020 to 2021, Laura held the position of Director of Social Services at Cascadia Healthcare.

Laura has also worked at St. Luke's Health System, where they served as a Clinical Social Worker Virtual Care Center & Patient Monitoring from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center as the Director of Patient Relations & Experience and Patient Relations & Risk Manager. In these roles, they provided guidance and resolution in patient interactions and advocated for patient satisfaction.

Before their time at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, Laura ran their own therapy practice, Laura LaForte Therapy, PLLC. Laura specialized in geriatric mental health and worked as a therapist from 2011 to 2016. Additionally, they were a Principal at Labyrinth Solutions from 2012 to 2015.

Laura's career in healthcare began at Harborview Medical Center, where they worked as a Medical Surgical Social Worker from 2000 to 2007. Laura then joined Evergreen Behavioral Health as a Community Mental Health Case Manager & Therapist from 2007 to 2012.

Throughout their career, Laura has demonstrated a commitment to patient-centered care and providing support to individuals and families in the healthcare system.

Laura LaForte, LICSW, GMHS earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Clinical Psychology from Marymount University from 1988 to 1992. Laura then went on to complete their Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) with a focus in Clinical from The Catholic University of America from 1992 to 1994.
