NeurEx (Neural Engineering Exploration) is a student-led innovation hub at Case Western Reserve University dedicated to exploring and advancing neurotechnology and brain-computer interface (BCI) systems. We are a multidisciplinary team of engineers, neuroscientists, coders, and creators passionate about bridging the gap between the human nervous system and technology.

NeurEx operates on two complementary fronts: as a welcoming community that hosts accessible, knowledge-rich general body meetings open to all students, and as a structured research and development environment through competitive project teams. General body meetings cover foundational topics in neuroscience, signal processing, and neurotechnology, while our project teams tackle advanced engineering challenges through an application-based process that ensures committed, skill-diverse collaboration.

At NeurEx, we believe hands-on learning drives innovation. Our members work across the full development pipeline—from biosignal acquisition and classification to mechanical actuation and hardware acceleration. Whether you're optimizing Python models for neural signal classification, designing PCBs, or tuning real-time control systems, there's a place for every curious mind.

We welcome students from all backgrounds who are eager to explore neurotechnology and push the boundaries of human-machine interaction.
