Carlos Crespo-Hernández is an accomplished chemist and academic leader serving as the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Arts & Sciences at Case Western Reserve University since July 2007. Currently, Carlos holds multiple roles including Associate Professor of Chemistry, Faculty Advisor for the Chemistry Graduate Student Organization, and Program Director for the American Chemical Society's SEED Program, aimed at promoting scientific careers among economically disadvantaged high school students. Carlos is also a member of the ACS Board Standing Committee on the Petroleum Research Fund and serves on the Scientific Revision Board for the Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust, providing guidance on research funding. Additionally, Carlos acts as an Associate Editor for the American Society for Photobiology's journal and contributes to the field of chemical dynamics as Co-Director of the Center for Chemical Dynamics at CWRU. Carlos earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
