J. Michael Oakes

J. Michael Oakes is currently the Senior Vice President for Research & Technology Management at Case Western Reserve University. Prior to this role, Oakes served as the Vice President for Research at the University of Minnesota, where J. Michael also worked as a Professor teaching courses in research methods, social epidemiology, and research ethics. Oakes has a background in social epidemiology and health policy, and has held positions at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and New England Research Institutes, Inc. Oakes holds a PhD in Social Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
