Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson is an accomplished Senior Physicist at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation since January 2021, focusing on the development and maintenance of MRI products. Concurrently, Michael serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Physics at Case Western Reserve University, teaching a Graduate Physics of Imaging Course. Michael's previous roles include Principal Engineer at ViewRay, Inc., where integration of MRI with radiation therapy was prioritized; Principal Scientist at Toshiba Medical Research Institute USA, contributing to next-generation MRI products; and Director of Research at Alltech Medical Systems, overseeing MRI application development. Michael also held senior positions at Philips Medical Systems and Picker International, managing groups and developing neuro-imaging applications, and possesses extensive experience in research and development, supported by a PhD in Physics from Case Western Reserve University.
