Marissa Sprouls

Marissa Sprouls is an Environmental Analyst at Casella Waste Systems, Inc. since October 2022, with a strong background in environmental sciences and wildlife biology. Previously, Marissa held positions as Team Lead at R.I. Analytical Laboratories, Lab Associate at Web Industries, and Lab Analyst at Thielsch Engineering. Experience includes work as a Clinic Technician for Wildlife Rehabilitators Association of Rhode Island and providing clerical support at RI DEM- Bureau of Environmental Protection. Earlier roles include staff at Roger Williams Park Zoo, where interaction with visitors and animals was key, and Park Ranger duties involving aquarium maintenance. Marissa also interned at Balule Nature Reserve, focusing on rhino research and small mammal studies. Marissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from the University of Rhode Island, obtained in 2014.
