Navid Asadi

Co-founder - Chief Scientist (physical Assurance) at Caspia Technologies™

Navid Asadi is an accomplished academic and engineering professional with extensive experience in the fields of mechanical and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Research Assistant Professor at the University of Florida since July 2015, Navid's research focuses on physical inspection, 3D non-destructive imaging, image analysis, counterfeit detection and prevention, and reverse engineering. In addition, Navid co-founded Caspia Technologies in March 2020, where the role of Chief Scientist includes contributions to physical assurance. Previous experiences include a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Connecticut, a Research Assistant at both the University of Connecticut and Amir Kabir University of Technology, and a Research Engineer at Pars Switch. Navid holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology.
