Cody Laursen

Cody Laursen possesses a diverse background in law enforcement and audio engineering, currently serving as a K9 Handler at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office since March 2022, while also working as a Deputy Sheriff for Cass County since November 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Corporal with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and a Security Officer at Allied Universal. Cody’s earlier roles at Doane University involved various positions related to event management and sound engineering, contributing to the university’s jazz programs and student events staff. Cody completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology at Doane University between 2016 and 2019 and gained initial professional experience as a Police Intern at the Crete Police Station and as an Apprentice Sound Engineer at Spoleto Festival USA.
