Cheri Almquist began their work experience in 1989 as a Human Resource Assistant at E.A. Sween - Deli Express. Cheri later worked as a Benefits Assistant at In Home Health from 1991 to 1993. From 1993 to 2005, they served as the Human Resource/Benefits Manager at Quality Assured Label, Inc. Cheri then became a Benefit Projects Consultant at Summerhill Associates from 2005 to 2012. In 2004, they joined Calvary Lutheran Church as an HR Generalist/Dir. Women's Programs, and they held this role until 2015. In 2011, they became a Benefits Enrollment Consultant at Total Benefit Communications, leaving in 2015. Starting in 2015, Cheri has worked at multiple companies, including Elim Care (as a Human Resources Manager until 2018), Elim Care Corporate (as a Human Resources Generalist), and Cassia - An Augustana | Elim Affiliation (as the Senior Director of Human Resources and Total Rewards, as well as the Director of Human Resources).
Cheri Almquist earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Sociology from St. Olaf College, where they studied from 1985 to 1989.
