Julie A. Teuscher

Julie A. Teuscher is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office and chair of the Appellate practice group. Julie has extensive civil appellate experience at both the state and federal levels, including handling substantive motions, post-trial motions and appeals of all varieties. She frequently authors appellate briefs and argues on topics related to civil litigation in both the Illinois reviewing courts, including the Supreme Court of Illinois and the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Prior to focusing her practice on appellate work, Julie served as trial counsel in several areas including medical malpractice, construction law and general negligence with an emphasis on medical negligence, construction and general negligence actions. In addition to her trial experience, Julie worked with clients to develop strategies and resolve civil litigation prior to trial.

Julie frequently presents on topics relating to appellate work, including as an invited speaker at a recent IICLE seminar on civil appellate practice. She is also a current member and former director of the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois.
