Joris Snellenburg

Joris Snellenburg has a diverse work experience. Joris started their career as a Student Assistant at VU Amsterdam, where they worked on setting up a remote physics laboratory. Joris then worked as a Wireless LAN Helpdesk IT Support, providing technical support for wifi access and various IT issues. Joris later became a Scientific Programmer, contributing to the development of Glotaran, a data analysis software package used in spectroscopy and microscopy.

Joris also had significant experience at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Joris worked as a Technical Consultant IT Migration, ensuring the quality of service during the university's IT migration. Joris was also a PhD Candidate in Biophysics and a Project Leader for Data Management, where they developed policies and managed research data for specific faculties. Joris also worked on scientific software development, developing software for university courses and packages for modeling and optimization.

Most recently, Joris worked at Cassini B.V. and Cassini Technologies B.V. In both companies, they held roles as a Research Engineer and a Senior Research Engineer, contributing to research projects in their field.

Joris Snellenburg has an extensive educational background in the field of physics.

Joris began their academic journey at the 1e Amstelveense Montessorischool, where they completed their primary education. During this time, they developed skills such as critical thinking, collaborative work, and bold action.

Following their primary education, Joris attended Keizer Karel College for their secondary education, specializing in the field of Natuur & Techniek.

After completing their secondary education, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Physics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2003 to 2011.

Subsequently, Joris pursued a master's degree in Computational Physics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from 2007 to 2011.

Joris'seducational journey continued at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biophysics from 2010 to 2016.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Joris obtained the NetBeans Platform Certified Associate certification in January 2012.
