Katie Dungca

Katie Dungca has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field since 2009. Katie began their career as a Research Laboratory Assistant at DuPont Pioneer in 2009. In 2014, they moved to WuXi AppTec as a Laboratory Technician. Katie then worked as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist at Sysmex Inostics from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they took on the role of Resource Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, they worked as a Chemical Technician III at Siemens Healthineers. In 2018, they were a Hazardous Chemical Specialist at MXI. Currently, they are a Supervisor PCR Lab and Lead Quality Control Analyst at Castle Creek Biosciences, Inc., where they are responsible for executing testing for raw materials, equipment qualification, analytical validation, bulk intermediate and final release testing methods, cell count and viability, purity, transduction efficiency, ELISA, endotoxin, sterility, PH, osmolality, gram stain, environmental monitoring, reviewing QC raw data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with effective SOPs, executing change controls, IO/PQ, and equipment commissioning, performing growth promotion testing on prepared media, direct sterile media fill trials and support testing, authoring and revising QC SOPs and ATMs as necessary to maintain compliance, and training employees.

Katie Dungca attended Saint Joseph's University and Alvernia University. Katie received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alvernia University.
