Franklin George

Franklin George has had a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Senior Software Engineer at Applied Materials. In this role, they worked on the development of automation software for manufacturing tools used in the semiconductor industry, and implemented state machines for automating operation of devices such as chambers, pneumatic lifts and gas panels. In 2014, they were a Graduate Assistant at the Research in Software and System Security Lab, where they explored and evaluated the security vulnerabilities of Webview in Android, designed and implemented a prototype for a secure webview, and co-authored a paper discussing their findings. In 2015, they joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a System Software Engineer - Storage. In 2018, they joined Nimble Storage, which was acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise in 2017, as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they were a member of the Nimble CASL filesystem datapath team, and worked on and delivered features for various modules in the file system such as Disk Index, Cache, Garbage Collector, Key-Value Index, etc. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Co-Founder and CTO of Castled Data (YC W22).

Franklin George attended College of Engineering Trivandrum from 2006 to 2010, where they received a B Tech in Computer Science. Franklin then went on to Stony Brook University from 2014 to 2015, where they received a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science. In 2022, they are set to attend Y Combinator, where they will receive a W22.
