Alexandre Sabard

Alexandre Sabard, PhD, currently serves as Project Leader for Castolin Services at Castolin Eutectic since January 2022. Previously, Alexandre was a Project Leader in Surface Engineering at TWI from April 2016 to January 2022, focusing on the delivery of technical and research projects in cold spray technology, including material characterization and experimental plan design. As a PhD student, Alexandre conducted research on the solution heat treatment of aluminum alloy powder for cold spray applications, specifically examining its potential for load-bearing repairs in the aerospace sector. Earlier experiences include an internship at Centre des matériaux - Mines ParisTech, specializing in additive manufacturing through cold spray, and an engineering internship at MECAPROTEC INDUSTRIES, which involved research and development of sol-gel coatings for high-temperature lubrication. Alexandre holds a Master’s Degree in Material Science from Université de Technologie de Troyes.
