Caty Gomes Fernandes

Caty Gomes Fernandes has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering, software development, and apprenticeships. Caty currently works as a Data Engineer at Castor since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Engineer at SFEIR from 2020 to 2023. Caty also has experience as a Java Software Engineer and a Chatbot Developer - Apprentice at Sogeti from 2019 to 2020. Before that, they worked as a Developer - Apprentice at Euro Information Developpements / EID from 2017 to 2019, and as a Software Development Intern at SES Satellites in 2016. Caty started their professional journey with an Engineering Traineeship at HITEC Luxembourg S.A. in 2013, which helped their decide to pursue a career in computer science.

Caty Gomes Fernandes completed their education in Computer Science at the University of Strasbourg. Caty obtained a Bachelor's Degree from 2014 to 2017 and later pursued a Master's degree from 2017 to 2019, specializing in Software and Knowledge Engineering as part of their field of study. Additionally, Caty has earned several certifications throughout their professional journey. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera, and in 2019, they completed the Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals course from the same platform. In 2020, Caty achieved the Deep Learning Specialization certification from Coursera. Caty also holds a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification from Google, which they obtained in December 2021. Further, they have certifications in Apache Airflow Fundamentals from Astronomer, obtained in March 2021, as well as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services, obtained in June 2022.
