Coron Brinson

Coron Brinson, M.Ed, MPA, currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Castro Valley High School, overseeing the Special Education Department and leading safety preparedness efforts. With a strong background in education, Coron has held various leadership roles including High School Assistant Principal at Oakland Unified School District and Dean of Instruction at Aspire Bay Area Public Schools. Experience also includes direct teaching in middle and high school levels, and a role as Director of School Culture at Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay High School. Coron possesses a diverse educational background with multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from San Francisco State University, and is an advocate for student-centered practices and community engagement, evidenced by co-creating the district's first racial affinity group, The Black Collective.
