Michelle Jou (

Michelle Jou has had a successful career with various roles in different companies. Michelle started their career in 1994 with Elf Atochem, where they held various positions until 2003. In 2006, they joined Covestro and held several leadership roles, including Managing Director and Vice President for Marketing and Commercial Operations in Asia Pacific. From 2016 to 2021, they served as the Global President of Business Unit Polycarbonates at Covestro. In 2020, they also became a Supervisory Board Member at Avantium. Currently, Michelle is the Chief Executive Officer at Castrol.

Michelle Jou has a Master of Management from emlyon business school, which they obtained from 1992 to 1994. Michelle also holds a Bachelor of Arts in French from Fu Jen Catholic University, completed from 1988 to 1991. In terms of advanced management education, Michelle completed the IEP program at INSEAD in 2007 and the OUBEP program in Economics at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2008. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD Executive Education in 2022.
