Michael Speedling is a seasoned actuarial professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles, currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit at AXIS Capital since April 2017. Previously, Michael held positions at XL Catlin and Catlin, managing actuarial reserving for US insurance operations. Michael is actively involved in the Casualty Actuarial Society as a member of multiple working groups and served as the President of the Casualty Actuaries of Southeast (CASE). Additional experience includes consulting roles at Ernst & Young and a lengthy tenure as Chief Actuary at Cotton States Insurance. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Business Analysis from Penn State University.
