Suzanne Beigel

Associate Director, Clinical Education at Catalight

Suzanne Beigel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Suzanne began their career in 2000 as a Rose Manning Youth Shelter Supervisor at FamiliesFirst. Suzanne then worked as an Education Coordinator at Spectrum Center Schools and Programs from 2002 to 2004, managing classrooms and developing individualized education plans. Suzanne briefly served as a Substitute Teacher in Special Education at the Contra Costa County Office of Education from 2005 to 2007. Suzanne went on to work at Davis Street Family Resource Center as a Social Welfare Intern, Caseworker, and Early Childhood Educator. Suzanne then joined Contra Costa County as a Children & Families Casework Specialist (MSW Intern) from 2008 to 2009, carrying a caseload and completing emergency response referrals. Suzanne later became a Behavior Support Program Manager at Lincoln Child Center from 2009 to 2011, providing behavior crisis management support and overseeing behavior systems. Suzanne worked as a Program Supervisor at GOALS for Autism, Inc. from 2012 to 2013, designing and supervising ABA programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. Suzanne then joined Easterseals Bay Area as a Program Supervisor from 2013 to 2016 and as a Clinical Programs Training Specialist from 2019 to 2021. Suzanne also worked at Catalight, where they held various roles, including Clinical Programs Training Specialist from 2019 to 2021, Training Manager from 2021 to 2023, and Associate Director of Training and Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Ambassador from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Suzanne is working as an Associate Director, Clinical Education at Catalight, leading innovative approaches to education and shaping the overarching strategy for Catalight Classroom.

Suzanne Beigel has a diverse educational background. Suzanne first attended Diablo Valley College from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained 12 units in Early Childhood Education and Teaching. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from California State University - East Bay, which they completed from 1996 to 1999.

Suzanne then furthered their education by attending the UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare, where they obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree specializing in Children & Family Services. Suzanne studied at UC Berkeley from 2007 to 2009.

In 2009, Suzanne enrolled in the BACB Course sequence at the Florida Institute of Technology, though the exact degree they pursued during this time is not specified.

Additionally, Suzanne obtained a Consulting Skills Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in September 2019, demonstrating their commitment to professional development beyond their formal education.
