Swapnil B.

Swapnil B. is a distinguished computer scientist and engineer with extensive experience in synthetic biology and DNA computing. Currently serving as the Head of DNA Computing and Distinguished Engineer at CATALOG since December 2016, Swapnil also co-founded Lattice Automation, Inc., where leadership in technical projects has resulted in a cohesive software tool chain through collaboration on multiple NSF grants. Prior experience includes roles at Boston University as a Research Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher focused on design tools for synthetic biology, and a Technical Lead position at NSF I-Corps. Swapnil's earlier work at Palo Alto Research Center involved developing algorithms for peptide sequencing, alongside contributions at the UNH InterOperability Lab in testing and debugging. Swapnil holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
