Tong Wen

Tong Wen is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software and systems engineering, currently serving as the Head of Software and Systems at CATALOG since January 2024. Previously, Tong held the position of Director of Engineering at Petuum, Inc. from October 2018 to April 2023, where contributions included developing a cloud-native AI/ML platform and releasing multiple AI/ML products. Tong's career also includes significant roles at Microsoft as a Software Developer working on Azure Machine Learning and high-performance cloud computing, as well as positions at Interactive Supercomputing and IBM Watson Research Center, focusing on advanced programming languages and technologies. Tong's academic credentials include a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer and System Sciences from Nankai University.
