Gisela Torrents Monegal

Gisela Torrents Monegal is a climate justice and environmental rights expert currently serving as a Tècnica Superior at the Oficina Catalana del Canvi Climàtic since April 2024. Previously, Gisela held the position of Climate Justice and Environmental Rights Technician/Researcher at Observatori DESC, where responsibilities included research on ecological transition and advocacy at the UNFCCC negotiations. Gisela has also worked as a consultant in climate change and sustainable economy for OCA Global and EQO-NIXUS, as well as an environmental educator and speaker. Additionally, Gisela has contributed as a professor at the Institut de Drets Humans de Catalunya and engaged in numerous advocacy efforts related to climate justice and environmental management. Gisela's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Carbon Management from The University of Edinburgh and other qualifications in Environmental Science and Climate Diplomacy.
