Maria Orriols

Maria Orriols is a professional with extensive experience in economic analysis and education. Currently serving as a Senior Technician at both the Directorate-General for Economic Analysis and Prospective and the Directorate-General for Economic Promotion, Competition, and Regulation at Generalitat de Catalunya since December 2020, Maria also holds the position of Associate Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, teaching courses related to Economic Aggregate Behavior and Macroeconomics since February 2022. Previously, Maria worked as an Adjunct Professor of Macroeconomics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and gained experience in quality assurance testing at Optimissa while consulting for Banc Sabadell. Maria's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, a Master's degree in Economic Analysis from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and another Master's degree in Economics with a focus on Sustainable Development from Tilburg University, complemented by an Erasmus+ experience at the University of Amsterdam and musical studies in piano.
