María Cecilia González has been working in the scientific field since 2012. María Cecilia began their career as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Biological Chemistry Research at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. In 2014, they moved to the University of Verona as a Research Associate in the Department of Biotechnology. In 2018, they were hired as a Senior Scientist, Structural Biology at Evotec. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist and Scientist at CatalYm GmbH.
María Cecilia González completed a Licentiate degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they studied Biochemistry at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste from 2006 to 2009. In 2014, they began their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biotechnology at the Università degli Studi di Verona, which they completed in 2017. In 2019, they obtained a Biosafety Practitioner certification from the University of Edinburgh, and in 2020 they obtained a Safety in Genetic Engineering (GenTSV) certification from the Max Planck Institute.
