Nikhil Ranka

Co-Founder at Catalyst IQ

Nikhil Ranka has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2011, they started as a Project Coordinator at Mahavir Roads & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., where they prepared and updated weekly schedules. Nikhil then interned as a Design Engineer at Struct Bombay Consultant, performing structural analysis and coordinating with geotechnical engineers. In 2012, they worked as a Project Intern at Lodha Group, serving as a project coordinator for a residential building project. In 2014, Nikhil joined Mahavir Roads & Infra Pvt. Ltd. as a Jr. Project Engineer, leading daily activities at a prefabrication plant. While studying at Texas A&M University, they worked as a Student Technician and Graduate Research Assistant, performing facility management tasks and assisting with research studies. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Baker Concrete Construction, initially as a Project Quality Engineer and later as a QA/QC Manager, overseeing projects and ensuring quality control. In 2018, they joined STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES as an Engineering Consultant, responsible for reviewing vendor shop drawings and as-built reports. Most recently, in 2019, they co-founded Catalyst IQ.

Nikhil Ranka holds a Master's degree in Construction Management from Texas A&M University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from Datta Meghe College of Engineering, CIDCO Sector III Airoli Navi Mumbai 400 708, from 2009 to 2013. In 2016 to 2018, Nikhil pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Strategy from the University of the Cumberlands Graduate and Online. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) certification from CMAA in April 2014, and the PTI - Level 1 and 2 Unbonded Post Tension Inspector certification from the Post-Tensioning Institute in June 2017.
