Sam Ramsey

Sam Ramsey has a wealth of experience in the insurance industry, starting in 1988 with FM Global where they worked as a Supervisor and Project Manager. In this role, they managed a team of engineers and provided training and support. Sam also worked as a field inspector with a focus on various industries such as hotels, schools, manufacturing, and utilities.

From 1996 to 2002, Sam worked at Fulcrum Insurance Company, holding various roles including Senior Underwriting Officer, Assistant Vice President and Engineering Manager, and Vice President and Branch Manager of the Catastrophe & Protected Risk Department. Sam was responsible for underwriting heavy technical property and achieved significant growth in reinsurance premium volume.

In 2002, Sam joined ICAT Managers, LLC as Vice President of Commercial Underwriting. Sam stayed with the company until 2012, gaining expertise in commercial underwriting.

From 2012 to 2015, Sam worked at All Risks, Ltd as the Vice President Property Practice Leader. Sam oversaw underwriting and operations for the MGU and provided property expertise across the organization.

In 2015, Sam joined Catalytic Risk Managers as the Executive Vice President, working closely with the CEO and CUO to execute the company's US coastal property production and underwriting strategy.

Currently, Sam serves as the President of the Commercial Property Division at Catalytic Risk Managers & Insurance Agency, LLC.

Sam Ramsey attended Texas Tech University from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
