Jérôme Durussel-Baker

Director Data Science at Catapult

Jérôme Durussel-Baker has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Jérôme started their career at The University of Glasgow as a Post-doctoral Researcher, where they conducted experiments and built machine learning classifiers to detect blood doping. Jérôme then joined Data Science Europe as a Fellow - Data Scientist, where they worked on projects involving Markov chains, clickstream patterns, and machine learning classifiers for NHL data. Currently, Jérôme is working at Catapult, where they have held multiple roles including Data Scientist, Lead/Principal Data Scientist, and currently serves as the Director of Data Science. In their role at Catapult, they manage a team of data scientists and delivers innovative solutions using various technologies and data sources to enhance performance and user experience.

Jérôme Durussel-Baker's education history is as follows:

From 2010 to 2014, Jérôme studied at the University of Glasgow, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medical Cardiology.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, they pursued a Master's Degree in Human Movement and Sport Sciences, Orientation: Training and Performance at the University of Geneva.

From 2005 to 2008, Jérôme attended the University of Lausanne and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Sciences and Physical Education.

Additionally, Jérôme obtained a Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org in June 2019.
