W. Nathan Bost

W. Nathan Bost, GISP, has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), currently serving as GIS Administrator at Catawba County Government since February 2020. Previous roles include Software Systems Engineer (GIS Developer) at Catawba County and Senior GIS Web Developer and FMO GIS Manager at the SC Army National Guard, where significant contributions included creating custom applications for data management and automation using Python, Model Builder, and JavaScript. W. Nathan Bost also served as a GIS Analyst, leading data collection efforts and performing spatial data analyses to enhance emergency response strategies. In earlier positions, W. Nathan Bost developed a comprehensive business database and assisted with spatial demographics at the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce. W. Nathan Bost holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography (GIS) and Community and Regional Planning from Appalachian State University.
